Let's do Basic Concepts app for iPhone and iPad

This App is ONLY for iPad 2, iPad3, or higher and iOS 6. It won’t work on iPad Air and iPad Pro.
“Lets do Basic Concepts” is an unbelievably enticing game! Children will have fun learning important basic concepts necessary for simple direction following.

Because of the size of the app’s menu the app does not rotate – the menu would not fit in the vertical position.

Developed with the help of a speech-language pathologist, this app is appropriate for children ages 2-6.

In this game a child plays alone or an adult and child play together. Watch your child learn the concepts of under, above, over, between, below, beside, and many others. Chez, the monkey, will help your child cheer with each correct answer! The child can play with or without adult supervision. This app will encourage these important language skills:

- Listening and receptive identification of 22 concepts by following commands.

- Vocabulary building by using a variety of 26 items presented in a random order, and 22 basic concepts words (on, off, on top of, etc,).

The word is shown in print when a specific item appears, encouraging early reading skills. Adults are encouraged to participate, asking a child to say the concept names during the game. The pause button can be used to provide additional time for identifying the correct concept.


What else is possible with this app:

1.Identification (and naming) of common foods and other items/toys.
2.Simple direction-following.
3.Expanding vocabulary knowledge.
4.Additional attributes—which one is high/low, which one has wheels, etc.

TIP:
Use of the pause button as needed to allow for repetition, correction, self-correction, multiple opportunities for practice.
